EDUCATION

Together for Cambodia is in Siem Reap, the capital of the province of Siem Reap, just 10 km from the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat, In recent years burgeoning tourism has made the city an international focus, developing a diverse range of businesses.

The local population has been affected by this development, but at very different levels. Some have been able to adapt to it, working in businesses designed for tourists but the vast majority have not been able to "jump on the bandwagon" and come from very poor villages where the only income is from growing rice in the rainy season. Naturally, the people come to Siem Reap looking for a better life, but most just find homelessness, alcohol and gambling. Visitors to Siem Reap are shocked to see mothers breastfeed children as they beg on the streets, to see children of all ages as street vendors and rubbish collectors and then, there is the pervasive danger of child sexual abuse.

At TFC, our goal is to prepare children from seriously disadvantaged backgrounds to cope with the changes taking place in their society, and to be able to make a valuable contribution to their community.

The children go to Future Bright International School – FBIS. The campus follow the highest standards in areas such as the way the teachers are selected, the transparency in the students examination system, and the way the '' summer classes'' focus on students' weak points. Thank you very much to our Benefactors who are donating educational sponsorship, and making it possible for us to offer such a good education to the TFC children.

We have our own Educational Center, JAVI SCHOOL, where education is a means to learn but also to have fun. We are developing a curriculum with a group of professionals to implement appropriate classes FOREIGN LANGUAGES, COMPUTER, ARTS AND PRIMARY SCHOOL Review Lessons. Children and young people living in the home program as well as employees have classes and facilities free of charge. We want to share with external students, youth and adults, making the project self-sustaining, for that external students must pay tuition fees, very comfortable and still consider and evaluate other options for children or young people whose poverty they could prevent access.
